Variety ups Dawn Allen, Donna Pennestri

Dawn AllenPennestriVariety has promoted Dawn Allen and Donna Pennestri to the jointly held role of sales director. The duo will share responsibility for the day-to-day management of Variety's sales efforts spanning digital, print, custom publishing, sponsorship and events. "Dawn and Donna share an understanding of our industry that is second to none," said Michelle Sobrino-Stearns, veep and associate publisher of Variety. "Their ability to focus on the needs of Variety's customers and deliver business-to-business solutions that are unparalleled in creativity and thoughtfulness makes them the ideal candidates to look after our sales activities and the development of our sales staff."
