IATSE, Teamsters set Monday rally for 'Die'

The Intl. Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees and the Intl. Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 399 have set a Monday rally outside the Burbank headquarters of Original Prods. as part of a push to unionize the TV series "1000 Ways to Die." The rally has been set in the wake of producers dismissing about 30 crew members who were attempting to unionize. Teamsters busines rep Steve Dayan said the fired crew members have been replaced. A spokeswoman for Original said the company had no comment about the rally. Four-year-old "A Thousand Ways to Die" airs on Spike TV with re-enactments of strange circumstances in which people have died. Contact Dave McNary at dave.mcnary@variety.com
